FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — An 18-year-old was killed in a crash east of Norton Shores Sunday morning.
The one-car crash happened around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of S. Sheridan Road and Airline Highway in Fruitport Township.
The Fruitport Township Police Department said the driver, 18-year-old Ethan Burns of Roosevelt Park, died at the scene.
Two passengers, also both 18, were hospitalized. Their conditions were not released Monday.
Police said speed and alcohol are believed to have been factors in the crash, though their investigation continued Monday.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say the suspect who was holed up for several hours inside a house in Kalamazoo has died.
City of Kalamazoo spokesperson Ryan Bridges confirmed to News 8 that the suspect is dead. It’s unclear how he died.

The case at hand involves two Black teenagers who were photographed and fingerprinted by GRPD officers but were never charged with a crime.
PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A driver was killed after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed near Three Rivers Monday.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called shortly after 2 p.m. Monday for a report of a crash on southbound US-131 between Heimbach and Moorepark roads in Park Township, north of Three Rivers.
